The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are Northwest Arkansas’ very own minor league baseball team. They are the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and kicked off their inaugural season in April 2008. Also in 2008, the Arvest Ballpark was named Ballpark of the Year.

The Joe Martin Stage Race, located in Fayetteville, is part of the National Race Calendar (NRC)–the pro and elite amateur cycling tour of USA Cycling. USA Cycling is the national governing body of cycling operating under the United States Olympic Committee. More than $50,000 in cash and over $10,000 in merchandise will be given away over the four-day, four event Pro/Elite category and two-day, three-stage amateur category races. Over 700 athletes from 19 countries and more than 45 states will be attending this year’s race.
This organization promotes several outdoor cycling, triathlon, running, and race events in the Fayetteville-Northwest Arkansas area, including the Joe Martin Stage Race, Iron Pig Festival, Ozark Valley Triathlon, Lewis & Clark Urban (and Ozark) Adventure Race, Tri-Sport Club Kid’s & Family Triathlon, Cyclocross at Lake Fayetteville, and the Fayetteville Half Marathon. The goal of the company is to produce races of the highest standards which are locally, regionally and nationally recognized events with a festival-like atmosphere. The mission of each event is to engage new participants and spectators in a healthy, multi-sport lifestyle.
Arkansas Marathons and Half Marathons
This website will take you to several half-marathons in the Northwest Arkansas area, including races in Bentonville and Fayetteville. Runners get a chance to take in the sometimes hilly, but always scenic, streets of the home of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville at the Hogeye Marathon. This springtime race event starts and finishes on the city’s beautiful Fayetteville Square and takes runners along an out-and-back course that winds through downtown, the university campus and past Razorback Park Golf Course near the half-way turnaround point. The Bentonville Half Marathon takes in the scenic sites of Benton County.

A premier indoor, multi-sports facility with 130,000 square feet of space, is home to six basketball courts, four full-sized volleyball courts, and two indoor soccer/flag football fields. Also included is a 6,000 square foot fitness center, arcade, retail center and conference/meeting rooms available for parties. Sport teams and tournaments include basketball, volleyball, soccer, dodgeball, martial arts and boxing. A summer youth sports camp is also available.
