The NWA Technology Summit will be held November 10, 2015 at John Q. Hammons Convention Center in Rogers.
The head of AT&T Mobile & Business Solutions will be the keynote speaker at the second NWA Technology Summit on Nov. 10 in Rogers.
Ralph de la Vega was appointed president and chief executive officer of the newly created AT&T Mobile & Business Solutions organization in August 2014, underscoring the company’s focus on delivering integrated solutions to customers that are first and foremost mobile, and also secure, reliable, ultra-fast and effortless.
The summit will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the John Q. Hammons Center. A
The summit is hosted by the NWA Tech Council and the Bentonville/Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce. The presenting sponsor is Digimarc Corporation.
“Northwest Arkansas is an incredible area with a hot bed of startup activity mixed in with some of the largest companies in the world and attendees will be able to hear perspectives from both worlds,” said Bill Atkins, the NWA Tech Council’s chairman.
De la Vega has overall responsibility for the company’s wireless and business services operations, which serve more than 116 million mobile customers in the U.S. and more than 3.5 million business customers in 100 countries globally, including all of the world’s Fortune 1000 companies. In his previous role, Mr. de la Vega was President & CEO of AT&T Mobility, a position he held since 2007. Under his leadership, AT&T Mobility became one of the world’s leading smartphone and mobile Internet providers and expanded into new growth areas such as connected cars, and home security and automation.
Jacqui Canney, executive vice president of global people for Walmart, is the summit’s lunch speaker. Canney is responsible for managing, attracting and retaining the nation’s largest private workforce. Jacqui joined Walmart this year after more than 25 years of experience in global human resources at Accenture, where she played a key role in leading the strategy and implementation of programs to attract top talent and a major workforce transformation to help strengthen the business’ capabilities and industry focus.
Louis Patler, New York Times bestselling author, is the afternoon speaker. Patler is president of The B.I.T. Group, a strategic business consulting company. Two of his innovation books were on the recommended reading list of Steve Jobs. Patler has authored more than 100 articles, and five books.
The summit will feature 25 industry leaders in five focused breakout session tracks. The tracks will focus on retail/supplier, corporate/enterprise, business solutions, developer/technologist and personnel.
