Artosphere Festival Kicks Off Today

By June 16, 2015February 2nd, 2021No Comments

More than 80 musicians from prestigious ensembles, orchestras and music programs around the world are now arriving in Northwest Arkansas to perform as the Artosphere Festival Orchestra under the baton of internationally acclaimed maestro Corrado Rovaris for the Sixth Annual Artosphere Festival.

The festival is a two-week celebration of art, music, dance and nature with performances and special events at venues across the region from today through June 27.

The world-class orchestra musicians will participate in 10 classical music events taking place from June 18-27, including three major concerts. Two of those major concerts will be at Walton Arts Center, and the third will be a live-broadcast radio event at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.

Orchestra ensembles also will perform as part of the Festival’s popular Chapel Music Series and Trail Mix Concert Tour, as well as perform impromptu “tiny concerts” during Food & Music Nights in Fayetteville and Bentonville.

The festival orchestra’s three main concerts are Earth Sounding on Friday, June 19; Bold Spirit: The Best of Beethoven on Saturday, June 27; and the live-broadcast performance, Transfigured Night, on June 24.

Special thanks to our major investors for their support of the Northwest Arkansas Council and our work in the region:
