Transportation Publication Honors Arkansas & Missouri Railroad

A leading trade publication has recognized the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad as its Regional Railroad of the Year.

The honor came from Railway Age, a monthly magazine and one of the transportation industry’s oldest trade publications. The railroad, which is based in Springdale, was featured in Railway Age’s April issue.

The award will be given out at the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association’s annual meeting on April 25 in San Diego.

A Railway Age story about the award winners can be found at this link, and the feature story in the April issue of Railway Age can be found here.

The Arkansas & Missouri Railroad was established in 1986 as a Class III Railroad operating a 150-mile route from Monett, Mo. to Fort Smith. Its major operations are based in Springdale and Fort Smith.
