A national publication recognized John Brown University in Siloam Springs on Wednesday as the best value regional college in the South.
U.S. News & World Report also recognized JBU as the No. 2 college in the 11-state South Region in the “Best Colleges 2013” lists put out each year. JBU is a private, Christian school with an enrollment near 2,000 students.
JBU ranked as the top college in the South Region in the 2012 edition of the magazine’s annual lists. It ranked No. 2 in 2010.
The University of Arkansas, the state’s flagship university in Fayetteville, was No. 14 on the report’s list of “Up-And-Coming Schools.” That list includes colleges and universities “making the most promising and innovative changes in the areas of academics, faculty and student life.”
The UA's Sam M. Walton College of Business was once again listed as one of the nation's top public undergraduate business schools. Since 2004, UA's business school has been included among the Top 30 undergraduate business schools by U.S. News & World Report.
