Northwest Arkansas Job Growth Ranks No. 12 Nationally

By May 10, 2013February 3rd, 2021No Comments

Northwest Arkansas was recognized this week as a top place for job growth in the nation.

The Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers metropolitan statistical area ranked 12th nationally on the annual list of Best Cities for Job Growth published by Forbes and New Geography.

Pepperdine University professor Michael Shires and Los Angeles demographer Joel Kotkin produce the ranking of 398 metropolitan areas.

Among mid-sized cities, which all have 150,000 to 400,000 jobs, Northwest Arkansas ranked third overall. Only Provo-Orem, Utah and Boulder, Colo. had better job growth than Northwest Arkansas.

Rankings were based on recent growth trends, mid-term growth, long-term growth and the region’s momentum.
